Location
The cottage is located at the bottom of the Lachtal (=valley), on a 3 hectare mountain pasture, with a big fish pond, in a secluded area.
DistancesThe skiing region Lachtal is reachable (at good snow conditions) on skis via a ski route (1km) or by car (also 1km). Shopping facilities and guesthouses are also just 1km from here. The town Oberwölz is 15km from here. Cross-country close by, toboggan run 2km, swimming lake 5km. Radon galleries for asthmatics in 15km. Perfect starting point for hikes and bicycle tours through the Lachtal area.
EquippmentGround floor: the cottage with local flavour consists of a living room with kitchenette equipped with electric cooker, wood stove, oven, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, lounge, radio, satellite TV. 1 four-bed room. Bathroom with shower/toilet. Upper floor: 3 double rooms, one of them with 2 additional beds if required. 1 toilet. The fully automatic electric heating provides a cozy and warm atmosphere round-the-clock, beyond that there is also a wood stove (firewood is for free) which supplies a crackling ambience. Hot water boiler. In front of the hut are seats and a barbecue. Please bring along your own bed linen and towels.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Electricity € 0,40/kWh, local tourism tax currently € 2,50/person/night, pet € 50,-/Woche, fishing: € 7,-/fish.

The Lachtal!
It is one of the biggest, most popular skiing areas in Styria where also snow is mostly assured. Skiing on an altitude between 1,600m and 2,222m, 40km slopes at all levels of difficulty (blue-red-black) and 10km skiing routes are available. It is a 150 ha sunny skiing area with 2 modern "6er chairlifts" and 8 ski lifts. The offer at the "Kinder-Lachtal" is presentable and perfect for children and novices in skiing. A "magic carpet" (that´s a kind of conveyor belt), a Teddy-ski tow, mini slalom, coloured figure parcours, wave course, treasure hunt and a lot more services are offered.

Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, experience nature with all your senses, take a deep breath and find yourself again. Those who hike in such an environment inevitably feel the beneficial effects on body, mind and soul.
Wonderful walking and hiking trails from the valley to the high mountains, from leisurely family hikes to extreme mountain hikes.
Where in summer - surrounded by imposing two thousand meter peaks - cows graze with their calves, lush green colors the alpine pastures and alpine flowers provide splashes of color, in winter all signs point to fun on the slopes.

Einfache Ausstattung, was aber in einer Almhütte passend ist. Große Küche und großes Bad. Mikrowelle, Herd mit Backrohr, Toaster und Kaffeemaschine vorhanden. Schöner Garten mit Griller und Lagerfeuerplatz. Kühe weiden vor dem eingezäunten Garten. Perfekte Ausgangslage für Wanderungen.
