Amidst the family-friendly ski and hiking region Fageralm, next to the hut FOR-SBG with marvellous view over the surrounding mountains. There is a free ski bus service between the ski regions Fageralm, Reiteralm, Hochwurzen and Planai.
DistancesThe hut is directly located at the ski piste and in the alpine hiking area. During winter ascent per ski lift and ski-run to the hut or walking path (1,5km). Luggage transport (transport of persons available on request) by the owner per skidoo, during summer accessible by car, tobagganing from the hut, farmed hut 150m away. During summer ideal starting-point for hiking to the surrounding mountains. Shops, horse riding, tennis, golf, horse-drawn sleigh-rides, etc. down in the valley, 10 - 14km away.
EquippmentThe cotatge has on the ground floor: snuggery, satellite TV with lounge and kitchenette with electric cooker, wood stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine. 1 doubleroom with shower/toilet. 1 toilet. Upper floor: 2 four-bed rooms (double bed and extendable sofa), 1 shower, 1 toilet. In the cellar you find the in-house sauna (€ 5,-/30 min.). shower, toilet. 1 additional double room (this would cost € 12,-/person/night, payable on site). Wi-Fi. Oil-fired central heating. In front of the hut are seats, a barbecue and a marvellous view!
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:local tourism tax € 1,80. Lump-sum € 5,-/person/night. Bed linen can be rented for € 8,-/set, towels € 3,-/set. Pet € 50,-/stay. Sauna € 5,-/30 min.

Wonderful natural snow slopes with plenty of space, the sunny high plateau at 1600m and the unique Dachstein panorama make the Fageralm a paradise for enjoyment. Whether boardercross route, time measurement route, winter hiking route on the Fageralm, everyone has something to offer. Lots of space on wide slopes, the gentle slopes are ideal for families. Quaint and traditional ski huts offer delicacies from the region. The Fageralm ski area is a member of ski amadé (one ski pass for over 760 km of slopes and 270 rope and lift systems). The Fageralm is connected to the other ski areas by a free ski bus.
Directly in Forstau, on the Fageralm, you will find 7 lifts with 15km of slopes.

Regardless of whether you are looking for adventure or tranquility, the Schladming-Dachstein region is there for everyone. With around 1,000 kilometers of hiking trails, 1,000 kilometers of mountain bike routes and 22 climbing routes, the ways to experience our nature are just as varied as the region itself. And the cuisine is also of the highest quality with us: over 50 cultivated alpine pastures are open all summer here for you.

Wir sind auch Stammgäste seit Jahren und sind sehr gerne da. Wenn in Ausstattung zB neue Pölster und Decken und Matrazen investiert würde, würde das den Erholungsfaktor noch etwas erhöhen....

Begeisterte Stammgäste seit 1996 im Skigebiet und seit 2011 in den Fageralmhütten!!!
Auch dieses Jahr war wieder toll und die Buchung für 2016 läuft bereits...
Ein preiswerter 7 Tageskipass nur für die Fageralm wäre besonders für die Gäste auf dem Berg toll.
Die Betten und manche Einrichtung ist nicht mehr ganz neu - bitte rechtzeitig nachbessern.
Sauberkeit ist gut aber wer pingelig sucht findet.
Eine Mikrowelle würde die Küche gut ergänzen. Eine Sitzbank und ein Skischuhregal im Eingangsbereich: Perfekt!
Sehr schöne Hütte mit unkomplizierter Übergabe. Besuchen diese Hütte schon seit Jahren und sind sehr zufrieden.
