Location

The alpine hut is completely alone, on the driveway to Lachtal, next to a stream, quite sunny. The road to Lachtal is behind a privacy screen and the stream. The driveway is probably used in the morning and after a day of skiing/hiking but there is hardly anything going on on the road in the evening/night.

Distances

The Lachtal ski area can be reached in 5km. Here is one of the largest and most snow-sure ski areas in Styria with 35 km of slopes, plenty of space for freeriders, a fun children area, cross-country ski trail, toboggan run, ski school and rentals. The area is ideal for mountain bikers and hikers. Guesthouse 5km. Nearest towns Oberwölz or Niederwölz 10km each, Therme Aqua Lux Fohnsdorf 30km, Red Bull Ring Spielberg 36km, Styrian Mountain Golf Club Mariahof 15km.

Equippment

The hut is an old mill on the stream and has been lovingly renovated from the ground up and expanded in an extremely tasteful and comfortable way. It consists of 3 floors. Ground floor: Small kitchen, perfectly equipped with electric stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and bench. 1 shower, 1 toilet. The wooden stairs take you directly to the open living room on the middle floor, where there is a cozy bar, a couch area, satellite TV, internet and a reading area. The attic is separated from the living room by an easy-to-open hatch and accessible via a small ladder. Up here under the roof there is a room with 2 single beds and a double bed (140x200cm), passage to the room with a double bed (140x200cm) on the left and right. WiFi available, pellet heating. In front of the hut there is a garden with seating, grill and hotpot! You can refresh yourself in the cool stream.

Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:

Electricity € 0.45/kwh, Local tax currently €2.50/person/night. Final cleaning € 100,-. Pet €50 per week. Deposit € 200.00. Bed linen and towels can be rented for €10/set.

The Lachtal!
It is one of the biggest, most popular skiing areas in Styria where also snow is mostly assured. Skiing on an altitude between 1,600m and 2,222m, 40km slopes at all levels of difficulty (blue-red-black) and 10km skiing routes are available. It is a 150 ha sunny skiing area with 2 modern "6er chairlifts" and 8 ski lifts. The offer at the "Kinder-Lachtal" is presentable and perfect for children and novices in skiing. A "magic carpet" (that´s a kind of conveyor belt), a Teddy-ski tow, mini slalom, coloured figure parcours, wave course, treasure hunt and a lot more services are offered.

Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, experience nature with all your senses, take a deep breath and find yourself again. Those who hike in such an environment inevitably feel the beneficial effects on body, mind and soul.
Wonderful walking and hiking trails from the valley to the high mountains, from leisurely family hikes to extreme mountain hikes.
Where in summer - surrounded by imposing two thousand meter peaks - cows graze with their calves, lush green colors the alpine pastures and alpine flowers provide splashes of color, in winter all signs point to fun on the slopes.

Wir waren in den Semesterferien zu sechst in der ehemaligen Mühle auf Urlaub. Der Vermieter ist ein sehr freundlicher und wirklich bemühter Gastgeber. Immer erreichbar.

Die Hütte selbst ist sehr schön eingerichtet und man fühlt sich gleich sehr wohl.

Ein Highlight ist definitiv der Hotpot. Die Kinder durften auch den Hof des Vermieters und die Kühe besuchen - das zieht bei den Mädels immer

Einen Punkt muss man aber schon erwähnen:
Für Kleikinder ist die Hütte wahrscheinlich weniger geeignet. Meine Kinder sind 6 und 8 und man muss ein wenig dahinter sein, dass sie die Stufen vorsichtig rauf und runter klettern.

Unabhängig von den Stufen haben wir die Hütte in unser Herz geschlossen und wir kommen definitiv wieder

Sehr nette Gastgeber.Haben alles getan um uns glücklich zu machen. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Highlight ist der beheizbare Pool.Hottub. Super.Können wir nur weiterempfehlen.
