The cottage as well as some other partly inhabited cottages is located above Maria Alm, amidst an alpine pasture area. It is also situated on a plateau, from which you have a wonderful view onto the massif of the Steinernen Meer and the Hochkönig. The hut is reachable via a 5km long gravel road.

Maria Alm 8km. There are grocer´s as well as restaurants and a variety of leisure facilities. Shopping at Saalfelden in 13km. Next guest house 5km. Swimming pool and tennis court 9km, golf course 10km. The hut is a perfect starting point for hikes to the Grasberge (mountains) around the Hundstein or also the Steinerne Meer. It is also a nice area for mountain bikers.

Ground floor: spacious living room, kitchenette with wood stove, oven, 2-burner gas cooker, running water. 2 bedrooms, 1 toilet. The shower (warm water via instantaneous gas-fired heater) and the second toilet are accessible via a separate entrance. Chilly cellar for the food. Upper floor: three-bed room (space for an additional person/child on the 4th mattress). There is a photovoltaic system on the roof which generates electricity, for having light. No electrical outlet. In front of the cottage is a terrace with sunny seats, sundbeds and a barbecue. This cottage with local flavour is very popular with people who like the silence as well as with families and nature lovers. Please bring along your own bed linen and towels.
