This hut is located above Niedernfritz in a sunny, absolutely quiet location, surrounded by meadows and forest. Niedernfritz is a district of Hüttau and is embedded in the legendary Fritztal. The Tennengebirge and the Fritztaler mountains with their panoramic Hochgründereck (1,827m) give the place its imposing frame of rugged peaks and gentle alpine pastures.

Next villages are Niedernfritz and St. Martin with shops, tennis, lake for bathing and restaurants, appr. 7 km, horse-back riding 6 km, T-bar tow 7 km, copper mine Hüttau 7 km, Sportwelt Amadé within 10 km. Broad walks, toboggan possibilities and ski touring you can do within spitting distance. Sleigh ride in St. Martin. Enjoy our mountain bike tours in the close Tennengebirge leading to Alpine mountain cabins offering refreshments and food!

Ground floor: snuggery lounge, radio with solarpower, kitchenette with wood stove, oven and sink, shower, toilet. Small anteroom with sofa and staircase to the upper floor. Upper floor: 2 double rooms, 1 tree bed room (to go through). Attic floor: 2 bedrooms under the mansard, one with 2 beds, one with 1 bed. Heating and hot water via wood stoves, solar electricity for the light (no sockets). In front of the cabin are a wide meadow, you are admist a very calm area, have seats and a barbecue.

Local tourism tax currently € 0,60/person/night, mobility tax as of the 1st of May 2025 € 0,50/person older than 15/night, gas (winter) € 35,-/10kg, lump sum for wood € 20,- in summer and € 35,- in winter, bed linen can be rented for € 9,-/set. Deposit € 200,-.
