This hut is located above Niedernfritz in a sunny, absolutely quiet location, surrounded by meadows and forest. Niedernfritz is a district of Hüttau and is embedded in the legendary Fritztal. The Tennengebirge and the Fritztaler mountains with their panoramic Hochgründereck (1,827m) give the place its imposing frame of rugged peaks and gentle alpine pastures.

Enjoy our mountain bike tours in the close Tennengebirge leading to Alpine mountain cabins offering refreshments and food!
EquippmentGround floor: snuggery lounge, radio with solarpower, kitchenette with wood stove, oven and sink, shower, toilet. Small anteroom with sofa and staircase to the upper floor. Upper floor: 2 double rooms, 1 tree bed room (to go through). Attic floor: 2 bedrooms under the mansard, one with 2 beds, one with 1 bed. Heating and hot water via wood stoves, solar electricity for the light (no sockets). In front of the cabin are a wide meadow, you are admist a very calm area, have seats and a barbecue.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Local tourism tax currently € 0,60/person/night, gas (winter) € 35,-/10kg, lump sum for wood € 20,- in summer and € 35,- in winter, bed linen can be rented for € 9,-/set. Deposit € 200,-.

The biggest skiing area in Austria: the ski alliance ski amadé! 1 ski pass for 5 regions (Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming - Dachstein Tauern, Gastein, Hochkönigs Winterreich, Großarltal), 25 famous ski resorts, 760km slopes and 270 ski lifts. Altough it is an area where snow is more or less assured, there are also snow covering machines. Also ideal for cross-country skiers.
By the way: cost-free ski bus service, ski- and snowboard schools, child care, toboggan run, ice-skating place, horse-drawn sleigh ride, hiking trails and excellent gastronomy.
Summer activities: Tauern-golf course in Radstadt, swimming baths, tennis courts, mountain bike routes or several marked hiking trails.

Wunderbar gelegen und trotzdem es keinen Strom aus der Steckdose gab, waren unsere Teenager sehr zufrieden. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben frisch gesammelte Pfifferlinge bekommen, ausreichend für uns 5! Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und überlegen schon, wann wir wiederkommen. Für uns war das einheizen für Kaffee oder die Dusche überhaupt kein Thema, es fehlt an nichts, aber Feuer machen sollte man beherrschen.
Die Hütte ist perfekt! Top-Lage, wirklich alles da, was man braucht. Die Stube ist super gemütlich und die Vermieter sind äußerst sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Wir haben eine sehr schöne Weihnachtswoche dort verlebt und, dass nur Hüttenstrom vorhanden ist, macht die ganze Sache noch ursprünglicher und gemütlicher!

Ein Plus ist, dass man in wenigen Minuten im Dorf St. Martin mit guter Infrastruktur ist (Badesee, M-Preis-Markt, gute Lokale). Viele Almen und Wandermöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe (z.B. über St. Martin - Karalm, Spießalm). Hinter dem Haus führt eine Forststraße auf zwei bewirtschaftete Almen (Schwarzeneggalm), die mit dem Auto in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen sind, Dort oben ist auch ein ganz nettes Wandergebiet. In der Nähe ist zudem eine Jausenstation, die wir nicht besucht haben.
Die Besitzer haben ein kleines Haus gegenüber, waren aber kaum da.
