In a wonderfully tranquil alpine landscape, completely alone, right in the ski and hiking region of Dachstein-West, about 500m above the middle station of Hornspitzbahn. In winter accessible by quad chairlift to the middle station of Hornspitzbahn, the owner will support the luggage transport. Summer access by car via a 4 km long unpaved forest road. 4 return rides included in cabin rental, every other ascent/descent 22,80 EUR. The location near a highmoor makes the air fresh and enriches it with a lot of oxigene, so the cabin is ideal for asthmatics.
DistancesDirect access to skiing area on skis 500m. Inn within 250 m (in winter). Ski school and cross-country skiing trail within 700 m. Shopping facility in the village, 5 km. In summer this place is ideal for beautiful hiking tours and excursions to the lakes of Gosau.
EquippmentThe non-smoking cottage has on the ground floor: kitchen with lounge and a kitchenette with electric cooker, oven, wood stove, fridge, dishwasher and a coffee machine. Snuggery with sofa, satellite TV and tiled stove. Bathroom with 2 showers. 2 separate toilets, sauna. Upper floor: 4 bedrooms. Heating with the tiled stove or electrically. In front of the hut is a patio with seats, a barbecue and a 6000m² garden with a well.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Electricity € 0,40/kWh, local tourism tax currently € 3,-/person/night, residual waste € 5,-/bag, sewer € 4,60/m3, bed linen can be rented for € 10,-/set. Deposit € 200,-,

Winter Infos
The Gosauer part of the skiing area Dachstein West comprises the Hornspitz including the Brumsiland and the Zwieselalm. From here you can enjoy the spectacular 360°-view onto the Dachstein-Gletscher, the Gosausee (lake) and the most beautiful peaks from the Feuerkogel to the Hochkönig. Gosau is not only a nice area for snowboarders and skiers, but also for hikers, snow shoe hikers and persons who love to relax - for example on a deck chair.
The skiing area Dachstein-West offers 70 ski lifts and 160km well prepared slopes. There are snow-covering machines at the main slopes! The more there are 193km cross-country ski runs and 200km cleared walks. There is a cost-free bus service (skiing area / indoor swimming pool) between the towns Golling, Scheffau, Abtenau, Russbach, Annaberg, Lungötz and St. Martin - as well as within the towns. And of course après-ski!

In Gosau there is little artificiality, you acknowledge your roots, you are authentic and mostly wonderfully calm.
In summer, the surrounding mountains, especially the Gosau lakes and the Gosaukamm, invite you to go on wonderful hikes.
During an active holiday in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut, you can expect a wide range of sports and leisure activities.
Do somersaults on alpine meadows, build dams on small streams and enjoy a delicious Kaiserschmarren. Whether fairy tales and legends or on a slow train through Gosau - that is family vacation in the Salzkammergut.
