    The hut is located between Unken and Lofer, on the Unkenberg on the Tyrolean side. With an authorization card, you can drive to the alpine hut via a forest road (ticket € 10.-/car/stay). You have a sunny, absolutely quiet secluded location. There are also small calves on the pasture that graze on the surrounding meadows and, when it is hot, are allowed to come into the stable attached to the hut.

    Next town Unken 8km, Lofer 13km. The picturesque Heutal 14km. Cultivated Alm 3.4 km and about 1 hour walking time. The hut is ideal for excursions to the nearby Loferer Alm. Here, in addition to many managed alpine pastures, there is an adventure playground, via ferrata, waterfall path and crystal-clear mountain lakes. From the hut you can hike or cycle to gorges, caves and alpine pastures by mountain bike. Therme Bad Reichenhall 25km, mountain bike rental 7km. The hut is the ideal starting point for excursions to Salzburg, the mountains of Tyrol or Bavaria!

    The hut is very rustic. Ground floor: snuggery with sitting area and wood-burning stove with oven. Room with sink (cold water), toilet (with flush). First floor: bunk bed and large double bed in the stairwell, passage to the double room. Light with solar power, no sockets, solar system 12 volts (mobile phone charging possible). Heating with wood stove. Cool storage cellar for food. In front of the hut there is a terrace with seating, a garden with a barbecue area and a well.
