The chalet is located above Werfenweng, with a magnificent view to Hockönig, Grossglockner and the Salzach Valley, quiet secluded location.
DistancesAbout 50m above the cottage ends the path at a "snack station". The Werfenweng ski resort with 25km of slopes in 5km. Pfarrwerfen 8km. Theme park with its idyllic natural lake, water slide and Seestüberl 5km. The well-known ice cave is in only 10km distance. Werfenweng is ideally situated in the middle of Salzburg, only 45km from the city of Mozart, and offers 85 km of hiking trails, managed guesthouses and is also ideal for mountain bikers! During summer you may glide with the Icarus-gondola above 1,850 m sea level! Hiking trails and toboggan run (winter) from the chalet!
EquippmentThe chalet originally built in 1568 has on the ground floor: living room with lounge, wood stove and kitchenette with electric cooker, oven, fridge, coffee machine. 1 three-bed room, shower/toilet and staircase into the garden, where you can enjoy the hotpot! Upper floor: small parlor with satellite TV, toilet, 1 three-bed room, entry to the twin room. Heating with wood and electrically. You may use the washing machine at the snack-bar (for a fee). In front of the hut are a garden with seats and a barbecue! Enjoy the magnificent view while relaxing in the hotpot! The Owner will fire it for you for a fee.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Electricity € 0,30/kWh, local tourism tax currently € 1,70/person/night, lump sum for wood € 28,-, final cleaning € 40,-, bed linen can be rented for € 7,- and towels for € 3,-. Deposit € 100,-. Pet € 5,-/night. Lump-sum for wood € 28,-/week. Hotpot € 15,-/use.

Winter Infos
The skiing region Werfenweng offers 25km slopes and 9 ski lifts for families, elderly people and persons who love winter sports. There are different fun parks for children like the renewed "children- and beginners arena" as well as for accomplished snowboarders and skiers like the "ski funpark" for sliding and jumping. For non-skiers there is a 6km long toboggan run.

In Werfen, between the three mountain ranges Tennengebirge, Hagengebirge and Hochkönig, everyone gets to their destination. Whether on a leisurely walk in the valley or on a beautiful hike past lush alpine meadows with grazing cows.
Or one of the many high alpine hikes through the surrounding intact mountains - fascinating insight into the wonders of nature and grandiose views are guaranteed!
Whether cooling off in the water, mini golf, a horse ride, tennis, or relaxing in one of the surrounding wellness temples, there is something for everyone around Werfen.

Die Hütte ist sehr schön gelegen und beinhaltet alles, was es zu einem tollen Hüttenurlaub braucht. Einen Steinwurf entfernt ist eine bewirtschaftete Alm mit sehr leckerem Essen und absoluten herzlichen Wirtsleuten. Wir kommen wieder!
So haben wir uns eine Almhütte vorgestellt. Rustikal, mit einfacher Ausstattung und urgemütlich. Mit tollem Ausblick und sehr netter Almstation, oberhalb der Hütte. Tolles österreichisches Essen, sehr nette Wirtsleute. Die Angaben für die mögliche Personenzahl (8 Personen) fanden wir allerdings zu hoch gegriffen. 4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder ist durchaus möglich. Es befindet sich nur ein kleines Duschbad im Erdgeschoss und eine Toilette mit Waschbecken im 1.Stock. Ansonsten muss man gut planen. Auch am Küchentisch muss man dann schon eng zusammenrücken. Trotz allem, immer wieder gern. Auch die Vermieter waren stets hilfsbereit.
Schönes Wander- und Skigebiet.
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche.
Der Weg wird gerade neu gemacht, ist zurzeit ohne Allraadantrieb und vollbeladen unbefahrbar.
Holzpauschale ist zu bezahlen auch im Hochsommer.

Unser Urlaub war ein Traum. Wir hätten keinen schöneren Hüttenurlaub verbringen können. Die Betreuung durch die Almwirte Eva und Jürgen war spitzenmäßig. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!
