The cabin is located about 20 km from Spital am Semmering in the Fischbach Alps. Secluded, very peaceful and sunny with far-reaching views beyond the Pretul, in neighbourhood of Peter Rosegger`s Waldheimat.
DistancesNext villages with shops, bakery, swimming pool are Rettenegg within 3 km and Ratten within 6 km. Walking paths just beside the cabin, fantastic area for picking mushrooms!
EquippmentThe non-smoking cabin features on the ground floor a big parlor with lounge and satellite TV, open kitchen with electric cooker, wood stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine and a dinette. Room with sofa (here you could relax while reading a book, for example), tiled shower, toilet. Easy access to the upper floor via a staircase. On the upper floor are two beds and a double room, television, balcony. Heating via wood stove, infrared radiators, hot water tank. In front of the hut are a big sun terrace with some seats and sunbeds, a well and a barbecue grill.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Local tourism tax currently € 2,50/person/night, electricity € 0,40/kWh, deposit € 100,-. Lump-sum for wood € 15,-/week, if needed. Pet € 30,-/stay. Bed linen can be rented for € 7,50/set and towels for € 3,50/set.

On an exploration tour through the energy-giving village of Rettenegg, you will discover a small piece of earth to relax, to be active or to be amazed.
A special hike to the Stuhleck can be experienced on the planet path, which is also on the hiking route "From the glacier to the wine": Here, the hikers are brought closer to the size of the universe through the representation of the planets of our solar system on a billions scale. Afterwards, the tour of discovery continues in the exhibition Labyrinth Human: A journey through the human body shows how it functions, takes care of itself and protects itself. After these many discoveries, you have to strengthen yourself for the first time - and where better to do that than in the restaurant with the largest trout menu in Austria, in the Joglland Forellengasthof. Fish lovers and those who want to become one will find a variety of specialties here, such as the Jobi® roller.

Bereits zum 2 Mal da, und wir haben noch nicht genug. Dies ist wahrlich ein Ort, der einem die Natur nahe bringt und für die notwendige Entschleunigung sorgt. Sehr sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Alles was man braucht findet man vor und die Hüttenbesitzer sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Nächstes Mal bleiben wir länger!!! Danke!!
Wir wollten Ruhe und wandern, dafür ist die Lage des Hauses perfekt geeignet. Alles war sehr sauber und der Ofen im Wohnbereich gab am Abend wohlige Wärme. Toller Wanderurlaub!!
Sehr gemütliche Hütte. Frühstück bei Sonnenschein auf der Terrasse ist ein Traum! Unser Hund hat sich auch sehr wohl gefühlt - im Wald sooo viele neue Gerüche.
